Submission Guidelines
Consortium Journal welcomes original, unpublished submissions from interested academics, independent scholars and activists that address the journal’s focus. In addition to academic essays, Consortium also publishes book reviews, journalistic and reportage works, field reports, interviews with public intellectuals, literary figures and activists. Submissions can only be made electronically through the online submission.
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines:
The format of the articles:
Authors are requested to follow the MLA style (8th Edition) strictly while preparing the articles. Authors are also requested to include the following in the format of their articles:
- Title: The title of the article, which should be concise and informative. Times New Roman font, size 14, bold (not all capital letters).
- Name and affiliation of the author/s.
- Abstract: An abstract of the article of about 150 - 250 words. The abstract should be compact and precise which should highlight the entire article effectively.
- Key words: Below the abstract, provide key words (minimum six but not more than ten) in alphabetical orders separated by coma.
- Authors should note that the main body of the text should be prepared in such a way that no formatting is needed afterwards. Headings, subheadings, and illustrations should be well incorporated into the main body of the article. Times New Roman font, size 12 and justified.
- There is no word limit for articles. But ideally, those should be around 5000 words inclusive of Works Cited. (Not below 3000 words)
- All portions of the articles should be single-line spaced.
- The author should be careful regarding grammatical and typographical errors.
- All essays submitted must be in English for review. Quotations in languages other than English must be accompanied by translations and font file.
- Please do not use Footnotes. Include Notes after the end of the article and before the Works Cited. Follow MLA 8th Edition.
- Submissions with Typological, Grammatical Errors and Spelling mistakes will be rejected.
- Do not decorate your submission with lines, borders, special characters etc., which may lead to rejection.
- The author must give a self declaration that the paper is an original work and it has not been published or sent for publication anywhere. Plagiarism should be strictly avoided.
Publication Fee:
The Consortium Journal does not charge any article processing fee from the author for submitting any manuscript for the consideration of publication. The journal is independent and is not funded by any major donors. The journal editors raise money from the core- committee to continue the process of publication. Good will and cooperation from authors, reviewers, academic editors, editorial board, and the advisory board make the publication process smooth and hassle-free.
Plagiarism Policy:
Before going to the review process, all manuscripts will be checked that they are free from plagiarism to practice. If there are indications of plagiarism of more than 25%, the manuscript will instantly be rejected.

Length of article:
Maximum length of a research article will be 5000 words including everything and not less than 3000 words (including works citation). A Book Review must be minimum 1000 words.
